State and National Officer Candidate Process 

Each year Ohio elects 7 High School State officers at the SkillsUSA Ohio Championships.   Officers must have at least one year left in school. Current High School students are not eligible for College Post-Secondary office.

State Officers

Candidate Qualifications:

 

1. Must be active High School or College  SkillsUSA Members.

2. Must have at least 1 year remaining in school.

3. Enrolled in a CTE program and participating in a SkillsUSA Chapter

4. Cannot have held a State Office

5. Must pass State Qualifying Test administered by chapter advisor/administrator.

6. Must be nominated by Chapter Administrator. Maximum of 7 per school.

7. Application must be completed by April 1, 2012

8. Attend orientation on Friday April 27, 2012

9. Not eligible to compete in State Competition.

National Officers

Each year Ohio elects up to 2 High School National Officer Candidates at the SkillsUSA Ohio Championships.   Officers must have at least one year left in school. Current High School students are not eligible for College Post-Secondary office.  Officer Candidates will then have the opportunity to run for National Office in June at the National Leadership and Skills Conference.
